Lost our Way

Today there is so much heartache and grief being caused by those that have lost their way. It is very difficult to understand why someone would lose their way. What is causing this malfunction and can we get it under control or is the behavior going to be accepted as another "norm"?

Our children are vanishing. Our mothers are vanishing. Our fathers are vanishing.
Only to be found too late. It is apparent that we are not paying attention to our surroundings, our friends or our relatives. Are we too busy to see that this issue is escalating?

With the economic structure not looking so good, stress levels are over the top. Patience has gone out the back door along with respect for a human life. I do know that prayer concurs all. We still need to pay closer attention to others behavior which might mean that they are having a problem coping with life.

In these times we cannot afford to not get involved, because our children and families are suffering from no one saying anything about abnormal behavior. You need to pay attention to the company you keep as head of your household. Children will most likely go away with someone that they think you are very friendly with and they are always in your home, this applies to friends, relatives or anyone.

After the fact, is too late! Listening to families that have had a tragic occurrence, there always seems to be some indication that something was going wrong. People are not  coping as well as we think. For someone to think they can hijack a person or even attempt a home  invasion is abnormal. What is driving people to these extremes?

We have predators in our mist, preying on our families and our children, who just disappear in the night, never to be seen again.

New Year Sun Rise

A new year has arrived and not without the ways of the world. Like all things there is a combination of good and bad. Is this what makes the world go around ? We learn from the bad and hopefully we are guided to the good. Starting over is something we all must do at one time or another. This might not mean everything, but those things that need to be changed for the good of all.
One might say change what? It's not my fault.Making this a better world for all is the key to prosperity, love and equality. A puzzle as it might seem must have all the pieces to be made complete and whole.
Living without a purpose is no life at all. In order for all us to be complete and safe we must find and reach out and help  those that are lost in this world of ours.

If we don't take the time to find and help others in their time of need and guidance, they will come to us and we will not be prepared for the encounter. Stop ignoring the signs of total disarray in  one's behaviour, whether it be child or adult, your own or some one's family.
Maybe some type of agency needs to be established where one could report an issue , therefore professional help could be offered and the parties involved  be alerted that there is a problem and what to do about it.

Help take away the darkness and let the Sun Rise in every one's world.

BULLIES...

To be or not to be a Bully. Bullies are created not born. A newborn infant is not automatically a bully, so where is it coming from. Turn on the TV, listen to the message that is being sent out by some. Threats that are so causally said with no regard for one's feelings. Politicians are guilty of this as we have just seen and heard during this last election. Some of the Celebrities have demonstrated some vile behavior. Children and young adults are also included.

It's way past due to start looking deeper into this problem. We as as a people have gone way off track as to what is acceptable and what is not. We have even more school age children reenacting this terrible behavior.

Our children deserve better and it is time to stand up and say NO MORE! It takes a village to raise our children. Has the village gone on vacation or what? Do you really know how your child is digesting all of this negativity and Bulling attitudes. Some of them wait until the parent is out of sight and demonstrate the same behavior. You as a parent might say never, not my child, but as the old saying goes, never say never.
There used to be a time when behavioral standards were set very high, now the bar is below what is needed to have a healthy and stable family. It is sad to think that in the long run that the repetitive bulling and negative behavior will become the norm in our society.

LOG HOME--Setting

Still thinking about a Log Home or have you made your decision to step outside of the box? Not to worry this is a decision to be well thought out. Your desired life style and family planning comes into play. A Log Home is not your ordinary build anywhere dwelling. Your setting for your Log Home is just as important as the  the home itself. Land that is used properly will accent your Log Home, such as positioning your home among existing trees and not having the land cleared completely. These trees will protect your home from the elements in the future. Proper facing of your Log Home (north, south, etc),  is also important. A good surveyor will help you with that.

It is wise to build a Log Home in the vicinity of other Log Homes if possible. You want the value to excel of course. When utilizing an appraiser this becomes a very important factor. Research this issue to get a clear understanding to protect your investment. If your Log Home is too far away from other Log homes the appraiser has to compare it to a conventional house.
Your Log Home research folder will start to bulge, just add as many as needed. Deciding when you are going to start depends on obtaining your land and if your are planning a family or already retired which also helps you decide on the layout and design of your Log Home.

You might want to look into a vacation Log Cabin, which is just as beautiful. So explore and have fun.
You will have an opportunity to visit some of the finished products of  the company you are dealing
with so you can see first hand the type of work they do ,and possibly speak  to the owners. Now you can't beat that when dealing with a reputable company.

JULY 4th , INDEPENDENCE DAY Celabration

The Celebration of our Independence on July fourth is just a few days away, Sunday. The Declaration of Independence Day was voted on July 2nd, 1776, and approved by Congress on July 4th, 1776. The first celebration was on July 8th, 1776. Independence Day, " Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness".

How will you and your family celebrate this great day?  Picnics and family gatherings are in order or
just plain relaxing and enjoying our blessings.

What ever makes you happy, that's what you and your family do. This Holiday was originally celebrated with fire works which was a tradition to celebrate the birthdays of their leaders..

Fire works are really a sight to see and enjoy, if done by those that are experienced, and held in a safe area. All children or most love to see the fire works, but fire works are not toys so make sure the children are out of harms way .
Some of us will have a three day weekend, so enjoy and be safe.
Let me know how you and your family are planning on celebrated  July 4th. Give us some ideas of how we might celebrate the day.

Tennis anyone?

Tennis is here! Starts, today Sunday- French Open!
Wait no longer tennis has launched, hooray! I never thought I would  get up 4am or so to watch anything, but low and be hold I did. I enjoyed every minute of it last year. As an afterthought I wondered what would happen if you put the TV on the tennis channel and left it there, what would your children do?
They will watch if you show some interest in it, subtle persuasion, maybe, what better way to help mold a young mind. From what I can see these young tennis players have developed a sense of positive self esteem and character, along with a strong competitive edge.
A game shared by the family helps to broaden the scope of discussion and interaction within the family, therefore enabling our children to better communicate outside of the home.
