It has been quite an exciting and entertaining event. Congratulations go out to all that participated and claimed the Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals. Job well done. It's not over yet.

Tennis is at the top of my list. I found that each and every part of the competitions were equally exciting and supercharged. You could see and feel the energy generated by all competing.

It is amazing to see all of these young people following their dreams and have succeeded in being able to compete in the finals and having a chance to win a medal. Starting their commitment at an early age and not giving up is so very impressive.  They all have set an excellent example for all, young and old.

For those that did not get a medal, I applaud them for the wholehearted effort that they displayed. There will be another Olympics and I am sure they will have perfected their skills and return to succeed and claim their medals. 

Miss Gabby Douglas has taken it to the top with her performance in Gymnastics, Job well done.

We have yet to see who will win the Gold in the Men's Tennis match.

Serena Williams has won the Gold , Maria Sharopova the Silver in the Women's Tennis match.

Xuerul Li of China won the Gold In the Badminton competition.

Tyler Clary won the gold in the Backstroke competition.

Italy won the Gold  in the Foil Fencing Team competition.

Michael Phelps won and won, way to go Michael!

Osca Pistorius is on to compete in the 400M competition. Pistorius is a Double Amputee and demonstrates to us  all that "where there is a will, there there is a way! You go Pistorius!!!

These are just a few mentioned that have made their mark in history and set an example for the world to see.

Country Music

Do you love country music ? I find it to be so entertaining and relaxing. I have a great station that I listen to along with others.http://americancountrycountdown.com. ,with Kit Brooks. Take a gander if you like country music. I am sure you will enjoy. Sometimes it is sad and sometimes funny and down right telling it like it is. I do enjoy all music, but country music can make you smile right off the bat. This FM station gives you the countdown on who is number one and so on. Today is Brantley Gilbert singing " You Don't Know Her Like I Do". You all can relate to that at some time or other. I also like Allen Jackson, singing "Don"t Rock The Juke Box". Sit back and relax and enjoy your weekend.

PUSH THE BUTTON AND CLOSE THE ROOF!!!

What is with the roof ?  CLOSE IT!!  We are trying to watch the game. If you know that mother nature is in a "Leaky Mood", why not have the roof closed so as not to interrupt the momentum of the game?The issue should not be Roof open vs. Roof closed,  but the Murray vs. Federer Wimbledon Championship  match!! Not criticizing, just voicing my opinion.

3rd set- 6/3 Federer----Murray falls a couple times. (Is it due to a wet turf)??.

4Th set-  Roger-Federer, back on Top!!!!!!!

Mr. Dapper Dan, Roger Federer has done it again. Well, deserved!!

I commend the Referees and Umpires and all staff for an outstanding job.

Andy Murray played all he had and contributed to a great match.

Serena Williams v Agnieszka Radwanska at Wimbledon

2nd set--7/5 A. Radwanska

3rd set won by Serena Williams, she has made that long awaited comeback.

Congratulation to Serena Williams in winning and claiming the Wimbledon Title, showing that she still has it.  I commend Agnlieszka Radwanska for giving us an exciting and fight back game.

Murray and Tsonga at Wimbledon

The game was played at a fast pace between A Murray and W Tsonga, this game that will determine which one of them will be in the finals against Roger Federalism.

1st set 6/3 Murray

2ND set 6/4 Murray


3rd set 3/6 Tsonga


4Th set 7/5 Murray, which seemed to be anyone's game, Won by Andy Murray...On to the Finals.

Who goes to the finals?

Djokovic has his heart set on going to the Finals. Will his dream come true? Federer wants to regain his position in Wimbledon. Mr. Dapper Dan has not  been in the finals since 2009. This is his first major final since 2009.

Radwanska and Williams, Wimbledon

Is Serena Williams on a roll and will she be able to top this off with the Title ? Radwanska will be her opponent. Williams has made a turnaround and has shown that she still has the play to win in her blood.
Every Tennis lover will be watching to see the outcome. Who do think will win and why?

Serena has won 35 Million in prize money. I do not feel that money fuels Serena, it is her strong competitive nature and learned skills that keep her on top of the game. 
Radwanska won over Kerber, making her way to play in the finals against Serena Williams.Will she be able to grab the title? No one knows today. Will she be able to beat the powerhouse, Serena Williams? Serena will win if she holds back on her power shots and stays focused and calm.

Gang Banger's Train Ride

Get on board to where? You tell me. Upon hearing all the bad news as to what is happening with these gangs  is quite discerning and sad. There used to be a time when a parent controlled what their child's behavior. Age did not matter, as long as you lived in your parents house you followed the rules inside and out.
What has gone wrong? Most of these Gang Bangers are still living at home.Where are these parents and what are they thinking?
Even if these GB's have only one parent there is no excuse whatsoever for this behavior to be accepted.
Usually when a parent could not control a child's behavior, they asked for help from the proper authorities. It seems to me that this may be a situation
where the parent is turning their head the other way or they are afraid of their own children.


One way to help correct the problem is to start holding the parents accountable for the havoc their children are causing.Second choice is to reach out and ask these
gang members what has led them to this path and offer a positive alternative to help them get back on the
right track.


This behavior is unacceptable and cannot be tolerated
as a norm. If it continues it will only get worse for everyone. Parents get your children back on the right
track or seek help!

Happy Father's Day--Heart to Heart

Hi Dad, it's me....

I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate and love you. There were times when you didn't understand me or my actions ,nor did I understand myself. As I get older and wiser I think that everything will be alright. I haven't forgotten a word you said.

Just letting me be me will be easier on both of us. I know you want me to be a certain way, but we all have to travel a path in life until we realize which is the right one. When we make a mistake then we know we are on the wrong path and a change has to come. I know you don't want me to make any mistakes.

It may seem as though I am not following the right path but each of us have to find out what is right for us and what is the wrong path or a better path. Sure, you might say "I told you, you should do this or that" which was true, even so one must make a mistake in order to come to the conclusion of changing things.

I do love you and respect you and I know eventually we will meet at the crossroads of understanding.
