Do we have a choice ?
No!!! If you protect yourself you will help protect someone else or others, family friends etc. Is that so hard to do????
If we become Ill there is always some to help us. Why can't we do the same. Is that so hard to understand? We must try to do what is needed at this critical time. Leave all the baggage behind. Corona19 is not being Choosey, just hitting anyone in it's path. So let's block the path by MASKING UP!!!

Changes in Our World Today

With all that is happening in the world today, we have to not try to take it all in and dwell on it  It is a little to much to try and find all the answers to make everything right again. There is not a day that goes by that there is loads of bad news.

There are wars erupting all over the world, with innocent people and children being injured or dying. What has changed us to the point of harming children and our families or people that we don't even know.

Life or normal living seems to be causing such havoc all over the world, causing individuals to perform horrific acts. Has the weight of just trying to live a normal life caused us to abandon what is right and what is wrong.

Of course we all have had the unexpected occur, be it health issues or a  tragedy of some kind. But are we abandoning our common sense? Or, are we trying to sort and understand what is happening around us, which can be a bit much for anyone to handle and put our minds in overload?

Taking in too much can cause stress

We are overloaded with today's current events, not to say we don't want to know, but some of us cannot handle being bombarded with so much bad news. It begins to take a toll on a person's way of thinking and how they would handle certain situations. A buildup of stress related or not related can cloud one's mind eventually.

  • Mental illness seems to be growing since many of the facilities were closed down. Where does one go to get assistance when they can foresee a problem arising among family members or someone close to them.
  • The stress generated from the economy problems and loss of jobs.
  • Our military being displace and struggling to survive, once out of the service.
  • Health related issues.
  • Family structure falling apart.
  • Drug use which impairs the judgement of a person's reaction to a situation.
  • Media news and one's interpretation.
  • Built up anger causing a person not to think rationally in a given situation.
What would cause a grandson to harm his grandmother or any family member? Family friends attacking
another family and their children is just unheard of. What is actually causing these horrific crimes?
The attack on young children today is unacceptable and must be stopped. An attack on any human being is wrong. Are we paying attention to the changes in our world?

We cannot just let it go because it is getting worse. Yet,  we cannot let this behavior become a norm. and lead us into a place of no return.

Preparing for bad weather

Havoc has been caused all over the country by this thing called weather. Tornadoes, hurricanes and thunderstorms to name a few. It is way past time to make sure your family has an emergency kit or bag filled with what we might need in case of an emergency.
And most importantly , where is the escape or shelter area for your family. We watch all the weather disasters on TV every day and we think that it might not happen to us.

  1. There are quite a few things needed to prepare a survival kit for a family. By adding a few things at a time you will eventually have your kit ready for most disasters.
  2. Water, liquids
  3. Nourishments, pop open cans, bagged snacks.
  4. First aid kit
  5. Blankets, clothing, shoes.
  6. Medications, eyeglasses, dentures, prescriptions
  7. Important papers
  8. Cell phones
  9. Batteries and flashlights or emergency lamps.
  10. Telephone numbers, Drs., friends, family and police dept.
  11. Remember "potty care" and paper, plastic bags.
These are just a few things mentioned that will be a great help in case of an emergency. We need to always be prepared for such mishaps.

Express Yourself

Being able to express yourself is good for your health and well being. It helps to calm you and also sharpens your thinking skills. There are many ways available for you to express yourself available on the web. The really good sites let you discuss what you know and what you want to talk about. It is a good way to release
some of that mental energy that we all posses.

If you have a hobby or something you really like to do and want to share it or teach them how, then this might work for you. Everyone has different ways of doing things. Theses ideas can be shared and help others learn to do something different or make it easier.

You might like to take pictures, paint, cook, know how to do a repair and so much more. It is amazing how much you can learn about the everyday things and the not so familiar activities that people are involved in. It is a learning experience.

You can really travel the world through these sites after reading and viewing the pictures that others have submitted or by viewing the instructions as to how to do something that you might have thought was too difficult to try. This information is shared by real people that love to share their experiences and talent.

I love to take pictures of all things and share them with others. You don't have to be an expert, because you learn from others that gladly offer advice or how-to instructions and help.
If you work with crafts you can show how and what you do.There are no limitations. Of course all of these sites have rules, but they are to be expected.

You really can proceed at your own pace without any pressure. You might want to participate in the challenges offered, but that would be up to you. We do a lot of physical things, but are we keeping our minds sharp by doing something we really like doing?

I am putting a couple of examples of what I have talked about. Check them out and don't be shy. Express yourself.

It is St. Patrick's Day. May you all have a prosperous and healthy year. As a youngster we always wore something green to recognize the celebration of the holiday, even though we we not Irish. It was called sharing and acknowledging everyone and their holiday.

The world would be a better place if this was practiced by everyone, no matter who you are.

Lost Holidays

Many of us lost our holidays due to tragic occurrences. There were so many sad and horrific happenings right around the holidays which saddened the whole world.

Why, is still the question. No one seems to have an answer to the unusual actions that have taken place lately. Is it due to mental health issues or gun control or veiwing so many violent
movies and the violent nature of video games offered to the public?

Will we ever be able to pinpoint the cause of all of these sad happenings? Maybe it is all of these things put together. We all are caught up into getting through the day as best we can and not
paying attention to our surroundings or changes in one's behavior.

Most of these vicious acts are done by people that are dressed in some kind of costume or video game character. Are these individuals
re-enacting something they have viewed on television or a video game?

It appears that they might be doing just that. Maybe after watching or playing so many of these violent games, and if they have a mental problem, this adds to the problem.

Of course they have a deep problem and we must find a way to identify them, whether it be family or friends or anyone which will cause havoc in our lives.

Put aside the politics and all of those people that are out for capital gain and start looking and listening to those around us and maybe we might see it coming and be able to alert the authorities and save a life.

The question is, what is causing these attacks on innocent children and adults?

Thanksgiving is a time for sharing and reaching out to family and friends. We should be thankful everyday and show it, but as in real life we are way to busy with work ,school and whatever else fills our plate. I think that most of us give thanks each and every day no matter what comes our way, for we know better days are to come.

There is so much turmoil all over the world such as weather, wars and all the other things that affect us in one way or another. It brings our attention to how blessed we are. We pray for those that have lost their lives due to storms and those that have lost their lives in war or in any way.

One might say "how can I be thankful"?  The sun will rise again and shine on you and dry your tears, be Thankful!!

History has been made again, but double fold, due to everyone banning together and voicing their opinion via voting. Many stood in long voting lines for many hours, but they did not give up, they prevailed and won!

In 2012 such actions remind you of the years gone by and the struggles that many were faced with, how could this be in this year and time?  It is a reminder of how much change has been made and probably not as much change as we have desired.

Even so a change is evident a change that will be better for all. It is all about everyone and not just some which is the key to uplifting all. The determination shown by all was amazing and uplifting. It was a message sent by all that we all want to be treated fairly and we do have a voice and we can't be bought or sold and lied to.

This is not a game of who has the most money and just want to win an election to show power and are not concerned about the people that they are suppose to be representing.

It is a clear indication that "Together we Stand". It can be done and the mission was accomplished.

I suppose if some of those egos were put aside the people would be the key focus, as should be.
There is much to be done and it can be achieved if we all stay focused.

Forgetting Our Children

Once again we are hearing about children being left in  over heated cars. What is it that we are so busy doing , that we forget our child in a car or anywhere? Communication seems to be lacking and more concern about how we look what we are going to wear or sleeping until the last minute, causing a mad rush out the door.

From where I sit in my car I can see something as big as a toddler's car seat. Are you using the car seat? When ever transporting a child, I would think you would look into the rear view mirror to check on them. I just don't get it.

Did another person put the child into the car and you were not aware of their action?  Even so, I would think that the mother and father would double check before leaving home as to who was doing what concerning the child.

A single person having put a child into the car, can in no way forget putting the child into the car.
Are parents becoming a hazard to their children?

For those that have experienced this tragedy, I suggest you try to help others avoid this unspeakable lost.
Tell others what occurred that caused you to make such a hurtful oversight.

My heart goes out to the little ones that went to Heavens Playground.

Help to prevent this tragedy from happening to other children.

TThe Summer Olympics held in London 2012

II

It has been quite an exciting and entertaining event. Congratulations go out to all that participated and claimed the Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals. Job well done. It's not over yet.

Tennis is at the top of my list. I found that each and every part of the competitions were equally exciting and supercharged. You could see and feel the energy generated by all competing.

It is amazing to see all of these young people following their dreams and have succeeded in being able to compete in the finals and having a chance to win a medal. Starting their commitment at an early age and not giving up is so very impressive.  They all have set an excellent example for all, young and old.

For those that did not get a medal, I applaud them for the wholehearted effort that they displayed. There will be another Olympics and I am sure they will have perfected their skills and return to succeed and claim their medals.

Miss Gabby Douglas has taken it to the top with her performance in Gymnastics, Job well done.
We have yet to see who will win the Gold in the Men's Tennis match.
Roger Federer will compete against Andy Murray for the Gold in the Tennis competition
Who do you think will win?

Serena Williams has won the Gold , Maria Sharopova the Silver in the Women's Tennis match.

Xuerul Li of China won the Gold In the Badminton competition.

Tyler Clary won the gold in the Backstroke competition.

Italy won the Gold  in the Foil Fencing Team competition.

Michael Phelps won and won, way to go Michael!

Osca Pistorius is on to compete in the 400M competition. Pistorius is a Double Amputee and demonstrates to us  all that "where there is a will, there there is a way! You go Pistorius!!!

These are just a few mentioned that have made their mark in history and set an example for the world to see.

Country Music

Do you love country music ? I find it to be so entertaining and relaxing. I have a great station that I listen to along with others.http://americancountrycountdown.com. ,with Kit Brooks. Take a gander if you like country music. I am sure you will enjoy. Sometimes it is sad and sometimes funny and down right telling it like it is. I do enjoy all music, but country music can make you smile right off the bat. This FM station gives you the countdown on who is number one and so on. Today is Brantley Gilbert singing " You Don't Know Her Like I Do". You all can relate to that at some time or other. I also like Allen Jackson, singing "Don"t Rock The Juke Box". Sit back and relax and enjoy your weekend.
